Help turbo whine

Ok so there is this high pitched screatching/whining noise coming from the turbo, it has minimal shaft play side to side and zero play in and out and there seems to be no chipps or bent fins. Im wondering if maybe the problem might be from lack of oil? Also should the exhaust side of the turbo's shaft/fins be coated in a white buildup? the Turbo is a 50 trim Precision turbo and internal wastegate. im selling the car and want to make sure the buyer kows all the problems. thanks for any help.

Sounds like the turbo bearing is going bad

the noise isnt constant though it goes away after a little gas some times. is there any way to lube up the bearing or should i replace the bearing? damn why does this happen right befor you sell a car.

oh also if the bearing was going out wouldnt the shaft spin roughly? this things spins like butter.

Bad news the bearing is sealed, but u can change it out but its probably cheaper to just replace the turbo. The noise goes away when u give it gas right. If so sorry for the bad news. .

If it was going bad it would spin freely until u put stress on it unless the bearing is scared from prolong low oil use. Did u run iy low on oil or run it really hard and not let it cool before shutting it off.

shoot so maybe i can pour some oil in there and call it good. i just need it sound better not run longer

Run a thicker weight oil in it adn see if it runs quiter.
