Alright so I recently a put a newer t25 in my 2g gsx. it has No shaft play but when it starts to spool up at 0-5 psi it creates this very weird and loud clanky spooling noise. I have No clue what it is and I'm suppose to sell the car soon. Someone help!

Sounds like a giant boost leak..do what Bud said and boost leak test the crap outta your system.

This may sound weird but check to see if your low on oil. You might be starving your turbo of oil creating metal on metal on some parts causing the noise. Its happened to me a few times when ive been low on oil and didnt know it. I spooled slightly and heard that clanking noise to realize i was low on oil.

Yes bud, cl1ckclack is. Why you ask?
I have blown valve seals, so every now and then i have to check my oil because when im at a stop sign or stop light, id be pulling a james bond smoke screen. I do though have a new head im gonna be throwing on soon.

Anyways.... Cant hurt to see if he's starving his turbo of oil because i did about two or so times and sounded like what was described.

UPDATE: it is an auto. I did do an oil change because my car had absolutely no oil in it. but this morning my car died on the way to school. The car would start but then would die right away. the car would run if i punched the peddle but then the car would putter and not go over 2k rpms.

The car shutting off was just a major vacuum leak going to my turbo cause loss of pressure in the engine making it die but i am now to believe that the problem is a valve problem cause im blowing white smoke. so i dont know yet.
