Is it alright to rig up the exhaust and just hook the air filter at the bov spot? Just for a temp emergency car thing.

The short answer is not without a good bit of work. First on the intake side of it you will have to find some way to mount the MAF if you want to just run direct into the intake. Even though the MAF will be reading only a certain amount of air coming in, it's still going to run pretty rough. Then you run into the exhaust side of it. You will have to remove the whole manifold turbo assembly and install a header as well as routing the exhaust to fit because a non turbo header doesn't fit a turbo car. And finding a 2g 4G63 N/T header may not be the easiest thing. Then you have to locate a bung to have welded in for the o2 sensor. Should have asked this first but what is the reason for trying to go non turbo?

The reason is just having a backup car for the duration i get the stuff for a new turbo the one on it went out. I'd only drive it a week or two without a turbo. I was thinking i could just rig it up to drive without the turbo, what if i just unhook the oil and coolant lines and plug them up then remove the turbo fin?

I've done this before, terribad. Ebay pileofshit turbo still jingling around on a broken shaft with no oil/blocked return line.
Turbo maf hooked up to the TB elbow, runs pig rich, with the turbo still attached doesn't rev very high, completely gutless on top of all that.
Oh and not more than 10mpg or 50mph unless your lucky.
