Where have you guys mounted your turbo timer? Please include pics if you can, I am installing mine and have no idea where to put it. Ideas...?

The turbo timer itself is only about 1/2 an inch deep. It's just stuck on there with a 3M foam tape strip that was included in the box. What you see is only the display; the control box is about 3"x2"x1" and is located on the shelf under the steering wheel column, tucked up out of the way along with all the other assorted wires from stuff.

Here's a shot from another angle.

gotta give it to you, cleanest install i think ive ever seen :thumb:

I mounted mine where the vents go, along with my boost gauge. I like it. I don't use the vents anyway.

Its not nearly as flat as your TT, so I would definitely have to make a cutout in the panel to make it fit there. We'll see how it goes though.

Yep, I saw your TT install while browsing the photo gallery earlier today. It looks really good and would work for my TT but I like my AC vents so I don't know...

BTW, did you make that panel/pod or did you buy it somewhere?

I ran my turbo timer over to the glove box. That way it is out of the way and it isnt just sitting out on display. I like things looking stock on the inside of my car.

i have the greddy gauge right now, here is a pic i took a about 6 months ago. wasnt that great of a picture, but i like where its mounted.

Hey, you might remember me PMing you about this earlier (must not have got to you), but anyway, how did you get that texture on the fiberglassed piece? Like, what material did you use and all that good stuff.

How did you do that? I ordered the Brushed Aluminium vent panel and I dont know how to keep the switches in w/o them falling out when I press on them.

bringing this back up to the top, HKS type 0 mounted under the dash of my 92 gsx

This is what I did also. Clean look inside=less attention, and unless your timer has a shift light, a/f, or voltage function it doesn't really need to be out IMO.

I made a bracket out of plumber's tape and mounted it under the dash where your right knee goes so that you can still see it and have easy acess to it but it is not directly in view of onlookers and or a nuisance at night when driving. I will post a pic once I get home as I am at work right now..LOL. All I do at work is browse the forums...what a job :hellyeah:

Just mounted mine on the vent by my left knee. Have to move it over the left though since I bash my knee off of it on occasion now since the car is actually running these days. Drill a hole in the top of the TT casing, mounted it to a bracket, stickl the bracket through the vents, and bent the bracket down to wrap around the vent.

I have mine mounted on top of the steering column its a good spot and doesnt block the gauges at all. If you look online you can find a 2 gauge pod that has the slot for the TT that replaces the stock center air vents,it also saves a lot of time getting the harness.

Still needs to be cleaned up but this is where i put mine.

I have a blitz TT FATT style and it is in the coin case of my 1g on the cover so when you flip it open you see it, its a nice place to hide it.
