Turbo System Questions

A little backround about myself and abilities.

Have rebuilt motors and transmissions


I am totally new to turbo systems and have some questions on the car I just picked up. I bought a 97 GSt with a blown tranny that has been sitting for 2 years. I rebuilt the tranny and have it running down the road. Replaced fuel line, fuel filter, pcv valve, spark plugs. Ran a engine restore fluid to try and clean the motor out. Now the question at hand is I have a boost gauge installed an when the turbo spools it gets up around 11 psi and starts to drop at 6000 rpms. It also pops the oil dipstick out when I get on the gas hard. So what would be a good area to start looking into for possible boost leaks and any other possible problems.

Boost Leak Tester
Anytime you touch anything related to the turbo system do a boost leak test.

There is so much information on this site for you to look over it'll hurt. Your dipstick is poping due to excessive crankcase pressure.
