I have a 95 eclipse GST with automatic transmission.
When I start off it runs very well up to 20 mph, then suddenly it takes it's time getting up to speed.
I have two sticking points like this one at 20 mph and the other is at 60mph.
I'm wondering if new fuel injectors might help.

I've also seen articles on rewiring the fuel pump.
I have searched the site but can't find any how too articles on this.
I was wondering if you guys could direct me to them (links)?

There are a couple of items on ebay that I'm looking at and wondering what you guys think.
1) Fuel injectors 450cc and yes these are for turbo. used $50
I was speaking with another member and he suggested injectors from 87-89 Rx7 injectors
as they worked on his G1. If you guys have any suggestions along those lines I'm also open to those. In other words injectors that would also work with my 95 turbo wtih minor if any mods.

2) WALBRO 190 FUEL PUMP new $90

Both items seem fairly inexpensive for not only fixing my issue but also minor upgrades.
Let me know what you think and also if there would be other ways to go with the injectors.
This forum is performance based and my concept of performance isn't only speed but also fuel consumption.
I have a very long drive to work so I'm looking for the best performance with the optimum gas mileage.
Thank all of you for any suggestions you have.

I forgot to mention in my post the reason that I think it might be the injectors is that since I have added injector cleaner Tectron(sp?) the issue has improved dramatically.
For some reason it is worst when the humidity is high or in the rain.

A lot of people run a product called seafoam through there engines and it seems to work wonders. Don't get too carried away with the injector cleaner though. Run some good quality gas for a few tanks, then try another bottle. Also since you have an auto, a few mods to think about early on are a shift kit, end clutch kit to start. PM me if you have any other questions, I run an A/T as well. Oh yeah and to answer your other question, the fuel pump rewire is a really easy mod. You can get everything you need at radioshack or autozone. Some wire, a relay and some connectors and thats it. Go to www.vfaq.com for more details. Good luck.

I have the same problem, and I found out a couple days ago that I've been leaking fuel from end of the fuel rail connecting the fuel pump wire bracket thing. BTW, the guide on vfaq is for 2g FWD only but I'm assuming its the same as AWD too??

I'm going to look into your suggestions as this is driving me crazy.
I know the car is capable of doing much more that what it does now.
So thanks and any other suggestions would be great.

I'm a little confused about the suggestions for the transmission mods?
I'm dealing with fuel system issues and you're talking about transmission mods?
Is there something I missed?

Confused.

I checked out the how too rewire the fuel pump on www.vfaq.com.
I got the link from joeracer321 thanks so much.
I thought it was a very well done tutorial.
What I’m wondering is the how come?
Why would that be something to try? Is there a known issue with the fuel pump wiring?

yes, I was just suggesting some other mods that will improve the durability of the trans. It's good to get those trans mods done early on so that you can extend the life of the trans, and pick up a few tenths.

Ok, now your suggestions make sense.
Do you have any suggestions as to where I could get these?
