turbo system help!

I just purchased a greddy intercooler with 2.5 in pipes going to the stock 2 in. I have to whole system hooked up and it looks good but it looks awful with the body on. Its way to high so I was wondering if I could get some pics of your different intercooler set ups to help me mount mine better. Also the upper pipe is flanged for a greddy bov. The guy I bought it from gave me a greddy type s bov for it (fake I am pretty sure) but didnt have the adapter to put it into the stock pipe. Now that my new piping is flanged for it I put it on. I was kinda skeptical about putting it on because I was afraid it wouldnt work and now whenever I drive the car and get onto the boost when I let off of the throtle instead of the loud pshhhhh it goes totototototo. WTF Is this bov shot or what? Also I need to remount the intercooler to get the pipes to fit better. The way it is now if I get to about 8lbs the elbow going from the jpipe to the upipe blows off. Could that have something to do with the bov or what? I know it is a lot of questions but I know how to mount everything and get it hooked up its just a matter of getting everything solid and running good.

The "tototototototo" sound you are now hearing stems from the BOV not opening up to relieve pressure. Take the adjustment screw and turn it towards soft a turn or so and then try to boost again. If the pressure relieves (with a recognizable psssssh sound), then you're good. Otherwise, back the adjustment screw out another half turn and repeat the test until it either works, or the screw is out too far. If it does not work, then you'll need to take the BOV and take the top cover off to check the diaphragm for cracks/leaks. Good luck!

I can't help out too much with the photos since I have a 1g but for my intercooler custom aluminum brackets were made up to help center it in the bumper. The sound your describing sounds like compressor surge and if your BOV is adjustable try backing it off some (soft setting) so it releases boost easier. I have a Greedy Type S and was also getting compressor surge even with my screw adjusted all the way soft. I wound up doing the single spring mod where you disassemble the BOV and remove one spring. I'm not sure how the knock off's are made if that’s what you have but those are some things to look into. As for the piping blowing off what kind of clamps are you using? Also if there is no bead on the end of the piping the silicone coupler doesn't have anything to grab onto making it blow off the pipe easier once in boost.

Thanks for the help on that. I loosened it up this morning so Ill see what happens once everything gets hard mounted right. The main reason Im having so much trouble is I was pressed on time yesterday and needed the car so I kinda rigged it on.

im not really understanding your post but i got mine hooked up like this...
you might need to take your time and make sure everything goes were it belongs
