The internals I am looking at for my rebuild are as follows:
The 3mm Lifters
85.5mm Bore 8.5:1 Comp Wiseco Pistons
XTR STAGE 3 CLUTCH KIT
boring the block for the new pistons.. port and polish the head
new belt, pullies ect.
keeping my hks bv if not getting the new version...

I have a t28 atm pushing about 20-22 psi or so.. As the car is totaled im looking at upgrading a few things.. As jusmx141 suggested the 45 I was looking at is WAY more than i need nor want..

He suggested the T04E50.. what is everyones opinion on a 20g compared to say even the T04B?? Im looking at 350-400 even 450.. hp nothing to much just enough to play if need be but still a daily driver..

John Shepherd doesn't even use a turbo as large as a GT45. On a 2.0 with 8.5:1 pistons that turbo would never generate positive manifold pressure until after 6000 rpms.

Here's a GT45R (left) compared to a standard T04E Garrett Hyrbid (right). The turbo on the RIGHT is more like what you're looking for.

You need something in the S256 / HX35 / T04E50 region.

If your goal is "25-30 PSI" you need to go back to the drawing board- or rather, the reading board, and learn about how turbos and airflow works. Boost levels aren't a goal - airflow, power, and times are goals.

as you can see in the first post i have my goal.....

I don't see an ET time, or HP goal..Just that you want to be able to push around 30 psi..There are tons of turbo's that can do that..Especially the ones that are already listed..

It depends how many lbs per minute you want to push, or in other words how much air you want to push..

O.P- you need to go read. Read a book, Maximum Boost maybe, anything on how turbos work.. We're here to help, not to tell you what to do.

That one persone who decided to give you a turbo suggestion is the resident turbo expert here on tuners..

Also you better add some slicks to the list..Because traction can be a problem in a fwd..Especially with a large turbo..

People are saying that there are way to many turbos that fit your descripiton just on boost...
How much wheel horsepower are you looking for? 350,400,450,500?? this would help out alot
But if you searched you would find out what turbos people are using for there power goals and then you would be set!
For example.....
350-Evo III 16g 20-25psi
400- MHI 20g 20-28psi?
450- FP green ??
500- Holset HX35 28+psi

yes did see that.. and that is one persons opinion.. should i just stop at one person?? i swear...

When it's Jusmx141, who is probably the most knowledgeable turbo guru this site has to offer, you'd probably be alright in doing so =P

Thread cleaned, flaming removed, and ten posts deleted. No more cleanup, guys- the thread will get trashed before I clean up any more unnecessary flaming.

20G would be great for 350whp, it will be at the end of it's rope at 400whp...and will likely never see 450whp unless the rest of your build is spot-on.

There are no T04B compressors efficient enough to generate your HP requirement at the boost you plan on running aside from maybe the 60-1.
