turbo just stopped working but car sounds fine and runs ok

i got on the highway and the boost was working fine then traveling at about 65-70 for about 15 miles i went to get off the highway and down shifted and there was no boost. Is my turbo ####ed or could it be something else?

Pop the hood and take a look around for starters....

Look at the waste gate arm. There is a small cotter pin that that holds the arm to the wastegate flapper. If this rusts away and the arm pops off the waste gate will open at the first sign of high exhaust flow resulting in a good running car that builds no boost.

The wastegate arm would have to be it, unless the compressor wheel is loose. But I'm guessing that's highly unlikely.

a bad boost gauge would not cause a car to loose the ability to build boost. i'd def check the wastegate. Mine has been doing the same thing, and im actually going out to check that in a cpl hours.

Ya i was having the same problem too i will check mine to let you know if it was the problem.
