Hi, I'm trying to put a instrument cluster from a 1G turbo to a 1G N/T. The wiring of the engine will be a 1G turbo complete with Ecu and everything that the modification needs. The only question I have is if the pressure gauge would work or would I have to change the complete wiring of the chassis and the instrument panel?

The better question is why change the cluster to begin with? If it was functioning otherwise the factory boost gauge is pointless and doesn’t tell you anything vital especially when it’s anything other than bone stock. I’d rather have the bigger tach than pointless boost gauge.

However, to maybe give you insight to your question, don’t hold me to it but I believe that’s part of the engine harness as if I recall there’s a pin in the ecu that dummy gauge references it’s signal from. I couldn’t tell you for sure as when I converted my car I kept the original gauge cluster and original harness and only added the 2 wires I needed.

My cluster works perfect, I just swapped it out for the turbo to have the pressure gauge for reference (I know it's inaccurate but there are no good aftermarket gauges here) it will also stay 100% bone stock until I can get quality parts for it. the engine in my city. According to what I see in the electrical diagrams, just adding the engine harness should work, but I wanted to ask if someone had done it, since I saw many who do the inverse, put the N/T on turbo cars

The original boost gauge will not work without some additional changes. What exactly those are I would need to look up but I’ve done what you are proposing and the boost gauge does not work simply dropping in the turbo cluster to an originally N/T car.
