I'm looking at a 1g eagle talon and the transmission needs to be rebuilt, how much would it cost.

My AWD unit was 3100 and some change at Jacks Transmission. I am sure you can get it done for less as mine was quite a build up just for comparison.

It really depends on what your looking to do with the car. TRE offers different packages on transmission rebuilds. But if your looking to just keep it stock then you could just find a local transmission shop to give you a quote depending on how much work it needs will determine the price.

I agree with Jacolu on what you're looking for and what you have. If you're looking for something to handle a lot of power, probably 400+ then go with an upgrade rebuild. If you're looking for something stock or stockish, have the tools, and are capable you can replace the worn out parts yourself pretty easily, especially if it's just syncros. When I did mine, note that this was 10 years ago, I can't imagine I spent more than a couple hundred on parts and had it done in a few days. That was replacing every syncro and bearing in a 1g AWD unit.
