1G Transmission pan bolt count?

I will crawl under and count.. but Im curious as to why there is a 12 and a 14 bolt awd auto trans?

I thought it would be just by year but trying to order a gasket they asked me that question and I wasnt prepared. Now my curiosity is up.

There were running changes made through the years, but I am more willing to bet that they are thinking turbo fwd and turbo awd are the same transmissions, and thats the difference that they are asking about, the books don't always reflect those things, its just turbo/non turbo, etc.

There is no difference by year. 90-99 AWD and turbo FWD is the same 14 bolts, 1g 2.0 non turbo is the one 12 bolts. The A/T trans oil pan gasket part number for 90-99 AWD/Turbo FWD is MD739243. Should confirm with the part number before ordering.
