Update: I pulled the maf and intake tube, uicp, etc... to clean up the fluid on top of the trans. I was able to get the fill plug out with no problems and trans fluid started pouring out, so it is definitely overfilled. I don't know much about the gear oil in transmissions, I thought maybe the syncroshift might of had a different smell to it. Nope, it definitely smells like gear oil, and what was on top of the trans smells more like oil. The cas wasn't leaking, no oil coming down from the head, and I only see coolant lines on the trans side. I went to remove the breather hose and saw this(see pic), a hole in the bottom side of the hose. It almost looks like someone drilled it in there. Also I noticed that there seems to be excessive oil in my intake pipe. Is that normal? But the hole in the breather tube would explain the fluid all over the top of the trans, it's probably been like that for awhile. Should I be concerned with the amount of oil that comes out of the breather or is that why so many people end up using catch cans? Thanks

When you say excessive, do u mean its like pouring out or its lightly coated. A light coat is normal, it's only when you have big puddles of it in there that it's a problem because oil will ignite and cause knock. More oil in intake = more knock

About 1/2 teaspoon built up in bottom of intake tube. I bought a new pcv valve while I was at the parts store just in case mine is bad and maybe causing more pressure to build and blowing more out of the breather, and when I went to change it I noticed the previous owner has jb welded the old one in place. My fear now is I don't want to try and remove it and possibly break the valve cover. I guess I'm going to have to order a new one. Ugh... I'm finding more and more surprises from the rigging done to the car. Thank god I only paid 500 bucks for it. At least it seems the engine builder did a good job with the shortblock and head and wiring for the conversion. The rest seems to be completely rigged. Also found that I need new shift cable bushings at tranny, any specific brand or type I should get for those?
