i got a 98 spyder thats built.. i was racing and tore my transmission up. therefore i am trying to find a tranny to bolt back to it to get my car running again.. I cant find a transmission anywhere around here for my car. I was Wondering if there is any other transmission that i could bolt up to it so i can get my car running.

If your seriously racing; you may consider spending the money on a race tranny. If not that, you could probably get one from a used parts store. Try ( youneedapart.com ).

The 2G GST transmission is unique to the hard top and Spyder models. You can use a 2G AWD transmission if you convert it to FWD by welding the center differential. Here's a good link to lead you towards more information on that: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/371710-using-awd-trans-fwd-question.html

...and some more advanced information on how to do something like that: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/drivetrain-tech/274677-awd-trans-fwd-application.html

You could also try the non-turbo Spyder transmission, but you will need the axles and the clutch/pressure plate for it.

the NT spyder trans is alot weaker so i would shy away from that

All the OP specified was a transmission that will get his car going. I'm just answering his question by labeling the N/T Spyder transmission as a feasible option. :)
