So I got a new transmission from another eclipse put in but I have run into a problem I have a small wiring harness that does not plug into the new transmission due to a different shape and I have absolutely no idea what this connector is called to find a new one online. And due to this small wiring harness the car doesn't start. Any ideas on what this wiring connection would be called? Thanks.

Manual or Automatic?

If it's a manual the speed sensor is different from 95-96 and 97-99 cars. You can just pull the sensor from your old transmission and put it in the new one or you can buy the pigtail connector and splice it into your harness if you don't have the old sensor

I'm not real familiar with automatics so post pics if its an auto

The only thing that would prevent a manual from starting is the clutch safety switch, which isn't even on the transmission. There might be something in the auto trans that tells the computer what your gear position is which would prevent the car from starting unless you're reading park or neutral.
