420A Transmission Connector?

Can someone please tell me what this part is called and a part number if you have it? It's for a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS 2.0L Automatic Non-Turbo. This connects to the transmission towards the front of the car on drivers side. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

I may be wrong but based off the amount of wires it looks like its for the transmission range switch aka inhibitor switch aka range position switch.

Any idea where I can get a replacement plug? (The harness side, not the actual switch) I've been searching on Google and haven't had any luck thus far

The pins aren't the same so the connector doesn't plug in. The ones on the new transmission are flat, not round like the plug. If that makes sense.

I think it's the Neutral safety switch. Which I believe is the same thing you mentioned previously? I'm not familiar with any plug like this. But anyway, It looks like if you take off the transmission pan, you may be able to get to it. I'm going to try that when I get some time and swap the old switch into the new transmission because atleast I know that one will plug in.
