So I lost the little rubber transfer case breather thing a while ago, and was just wondering if I really need it. Could I just leave the hole, block it, or do I need a new breather

Can I like run without it until I get a new one ?Yes, you need the breather. If you look at how it is designed, it will let fluid/pressure out, but will keep dirt/moisture from entering the transfer case.
