tranny problems

ok so i just put a new head on my 1g been driving it for the past couple days and everyday it gets harder and harder to get into gear just to get it in first i have to jam it to the left then throw it up hard it dosent gring its just hard to get in. and im having problems getting it into 3rd and 4th too but no grings at all. and sometimes it pops out of gear. need some answers fast.

Mine was popping out of 4 found out the tranny had lost that gear.

it's just weird because the tranny only has about 50,000 on a rebuild i had it in my other car with a built motor making alost 350 and i had no problems mabey the cabeles just need to be adjusted and new fluid put in it but i dont know anyone else have any suggestions?

Make sure your clutch pedals adjusted right, sounds like your clutch isn't fully disengaging.

otherwise your on the right track, chck your linkage, bushings and all that. I started having problems with mine and it turned out one of my bushings was falling apart.

well my slave boot is ripped but nothing is leaking out of it i think im still going to replace that and see what happenes all my bushings are fine looked them over today.
