In a laboratory, sure. If you spray enough water. In a motor sports application, no. You don’t flood the motor. Only mist it.I read some ppl saying that spraying pre-compressor is bad because water can pool up in the IC? I feel like having an IC is better than not since it’s a street car that I drive often.
I flood it but, I am also a max effort, four digit horsepower car.
And didn’t I already say we road raced a Galant for years with no intercooler? We used two 950’s spraying E85 between the turbo and throttle body. Six 950’s total, 500whp sledgehammer.
I’ll share a video of my street driven 4g63 truck a built long ago. Never had a problem at 800whp and put a serious amount of miles on that truck. Think actual daily driver. I am an idiot of course.
