Would a 14 inch tall intercooler be too tall? The car is a 91 GSX, I would measure but I dont have the car or the IC with me.

I'm sure you could make it fit.. though may sit below your bumper cover and would definitely require triming / removal of your bumper.
I have Top/Bottom flowing FMIC and it is nearly 13" in total height. It sits ~2" below my bumper cover and I had to trim the bumper a bit.
The only diff is that on mine 100% of the core is exposed (6" height core).. whereas the 12+" height side-side cores only expose 1/2 the core w/ the 1G facia.
Many just cut the front bumper cover and remove the bumper itself to expose.. but IMO that's ugly.
