Well i just toasted my SBR-GT12 tuning at 30psi. I'm looking for something now with a lil more kick. I had an hx40 and loved it, but the built motor i had at the time took a poop and took the turbo with it. So now I'm her to ask what are your suggestions? What im looking for is

*450hp to 500hp with option of going higher.
*Able to take some abuse (it will be turbo timed)
*DSM flange i don't want to get rid of my FP mani
*Preferred journal bearing but BB is fine too (cost reasons)

If you're willing to swap manifolds to go with a T3 setup, the HX35 in a .70 a/r BEP housing is what you're looking for. Big airflow numbers (60lb/min capable) with full boost in the 4000-4200 range depending on your compression and displacement. They love big boost.

If you enjoy the sound of a jet coming from beneath your hood, the HX35 is where it's at.

Can you show me a link or post of an hx35 flowing 60lb/min.

Like Justin said, the HX-35 is 60lb/min capable in the T3 housing. If you stick with the bolt-on housing you will still probably get over 50 lb/min, and can swap to the T3 set up later.

Here is a compressor map for the GT35R. http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/turbo/TurboMaps/gt35rcompress.gif

I don't know about the BW turbo.

I'd rather not change manifolds. That would cause me to spend even more money than i already have to. Not totally out of the question but i'd rather explore other possibilities first.

ok no 20g....how about a t-88

LOL dump the clutch and dont look back.. The reason why dsm's are considered unreliable.. and a t88... Has anyone ever ran one of those on a 4cyl??

I just added everything up and i spend about 800 on a full holset setup including pr o2 with 38 mm tial.. I sold my 16g for 200 so 600 for everything including oil lines.. It is a sick way to go considering you sign up on the cummins forums and act like you own a truck and buy turbos cheap. i got my WH1C for 150 bucks shipped LOL.. I told him that it pulls great on my rig LOL...

The most I've personally seen logged by a 7-blade HX35 in a T3 .70 a/r housing is 55lb/min at around 30psi with plenty of room to grow (stock intake manifold, stock whooped-up 6-bolt).

Perhaps you should ask this member what his airflow numbers looked like to get a better idea:

7-blade HX35; 494hp/466 ft.lbs, Mustang Dyno.

ok i trying to pick between two turbos now. Turbo 1 brand new internally gated GT30R for 800 bucks. Or turbo 2 externally gated hx40 for 750 also brand new. right now I'm leaning a lil more toward the gt30r because i wouldn't have to block off my water lines again to run it. But the hx40 left a lasting impression last time i had it and i think it would give me more room to grow.

I'm looking to be running around 25 psi with which ever i go with. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated as I'll be making the decision in the next couple of days or so.
