to turbo or not to turbo 4g64/63

Ok well this is for a friend of mine and he wants me to get your guys opinion on this he bought a spyder 4g64 car with no motor and an auto trans and he currently has a 2g gsx 6 bolt swaped with a bolt on hx35 and few other mods such as fuel system with a 5 speed trans

Here is what im getting at he wants to is can he just pull his 6 bolt longblock and throw it on the 4g64 trans

Yes he has done alot of reading and cant find the answer he knows it can be done and what has to be done with the engine harness but he wants to know if the 4g64 auto trans will hold up to the holset 4g63 motor he is gonna run low to moderate boost so 10-20psi

What do you guys think i personally dont know but this the trans will not hold up for long

I would run the transaxle he has until it goes. He could in the meantime pick up the auto transaxle form a turbo model and build it the way he wants. I would imagine there is more aftermarket support for the turbo auto transaxle.

Always thought the 4G64 trans had a different bell housing bolt pattern and would not bolt up to a 4G63. You may want to verify this.

If this were true, how could there possibly be 2.4l hybrid engines running around? The 2g 4G64 works just fine. 4G64s out of the 3rd gens have a different bolt pattern.
