Im not trying to sell the car here so please dont flame me for breaking the rules. Im just asking if anyone would have any good ideas on how to market a 98 gsx i want to sell. Its a project car and theres not a large dsm community in the birmingham area. Ive tryed craigslist but its too local. Do you think ebay is worth the 70$ price to try to sell it?

Just put it on Craiglist. We WILL find it. :D

A GSX in any sort of repairable condition will sell... And in non repairable condition, it will sell. As long as your asking a fair price, it won't take much more than that. It shouldn't take too terribly long either... There are a LOT of people looking everyday, all over everything from eBay to Craigslist to local classifieds.

I put the car on there for 3kobo and all the parts for 1k or everything for 3200. Does that seem fair or too steep? The car needs the 6 bolt flywheel, fuel pump assi. And the drivers side quarter glass. Other than that its in pretty good shape. Thanks for the input.

It sounds decent, I'm sure you'll find someone. It might be better to put it on autotrader instead of eBay. It's cheaper and stays on until it sells

Havent looked into autotrader, thanks man. Are people willing to travel with a trailer to pick up a 98 gsx? And should i think about droping the price a bit to make it worth the drive?

put it in the classified section on here.
I know there are lots of people looking for awd

I cant do that yet bc im a new member and i need to get it sold asap. I was actually thinking about selling both cars and all the parts. Im kinda in a pickle and need the money so my loss would be someones huge gain. I just bought both cars not too long ago but family comes before cars so they got to go.

Gsxs arent everywhere but many want them. autotrader has worked for me in the past and is better than 75$. Just list the highlights like maintenance, after market parts, and history.

I know a lot of people that are looking for GSX's and they look for as close to stock as possible. If you have any of the stock pieces that you replaced maybe try putting them back on. It may increase the appeal of the vehicle...

I havent done anything to the car it sits excatly how i bought it. I do have a mound of parts that came with it when i bought it. I manly bought the car because the guy wouldnt part with just the gst i had to buy them both. But sence times are rough ill probably just sell both cars and the parts. The gst has a spun bearing so its not drivable either. Whats a good deal for someone for both cars and the parts? A mound of parts i mean, 2 extra trans, heads, bottom ends, postons, turbos, blance shafts, rods, oil pans, injectors...ect

Stock parts are not worth much. Especially 7-bolt parts. Name brand aftermarket parts however are a different story. Project DSM's do not go for much, I've seen it countless times on craigslist where a guy is asking an arm and a leg for a broken DSM and it just sits on craigslist for year.

I advise you to get it in running condition and then sell it. It sounds like all you have left to do is labor. Good luck.

I got a buddy looking for a dsm pm me im on whidbey island :)
I knew it wouldn't take long.

This isn't a place to showcase a car you're selling- this is the DSMtuners tech forums. You're not asking anything technical here, and the choice is simple- either put the car on Craigslist and deal with idiots offering you 1/3rd your asking price, or pony up the funds to list you car on eBay.
