Timing Tensioner Trouble

I am doing the 6 bolt swap and I am pretty sure I have to use the 1g tensioner and pulley but when I put it on and release the pin today it was not that tight??? I could slip the belt off, I know I saw a write up about which tensioner to use but I can't remember what website it was on, please help

you will use the 1g tensioner, so you are right ... does it actually travel all the way out after you release pin?

Correct, I always suggest replacing the tensioner when changing a timing belt.

+1 on just replacing it... but i want to point at that you can add tension to belt by clocking tensioner pulley, if indeed its been loosened in the past...
