Hey guys, I've got a pretty serious oil leak on the timing side of my engine. It looks like the previous owner of my car got rid of the balance shaft and did not plug the hole in the side of the block where the tension pull and the sprocket for the balance shaft were. I'm going to guess that's where its coming from. It should be number 15 on the photo included. Any idea on the length and thread pitch I'm going to need to plug it?

Look on this picture. Are you talking about the bolt circled in red, or about the bigger hole, circled in yellow? The bolt is an M8x45mm, standard Mitsu thread pitch 1.25mm, part number MF244860. However, that's a longer bolt+washer which keeps the tensioner pulley in place. So just use a shorter M8x1.25 pitch bolt to plug it. The part circled in yellow is where the balancer spacer is situated. Are you saying that's completely empty and you can see through it? In my case I've got a machined plug for it and a little bit of red RTV to seal it up.

Yes that's the one that's missing and yes it is completely empty I can see the thread.

Using the same picture, what about the ones I circled in green. I plan to use an aem oil pressure gauge. Can I plug these to do I don't have to worry about it?

The one on the left is the electric sender for the stock gauge. Are you getting an electrical gauge or a mechanical one?
