This is the most motivating thread ever. Just reading those 16 pages I wanted to repair the few glitches on my car and beat the hell out of her on the track.

Congrats on your win. This is by far the best looking 2G I've seen that is on par with it's performance.
1:31 at Willow spring is insane...

Keep breaking thoses records :thumb:

Its kind of like having a super model ex-girlfriend. She was a major pain, your glad its in the past, but you still close your eyes and remember how hot she was so you dont care.

Can you please explain a lil more about your engine setup. I know your running a FP HTA3582...great turbo im using a FP3065 at the moment. But what are you running motor wise....built 2.0 or stroker? Methanol, E-85, Race gas? Just what are you using since when he dropped the hammer in the video.......he was gone ROFL and lastly whats vehicle weight with driver. Thanks again :thumb:

You know, I've been staring at this rear shot of your car as my desktop background for a while now, and I realized I've been looking at a cooler sticking it's nose out from above your -044s, but I can't see how or where it's plumbed in. The lines look relatively small (compared to the fuel lines), so my initial thought of a fuel chiller doesn't seem to fit, but given that it's rear-mounted, it seems like quite a haul for oil, power steering, or transmission cooling. Brake fluid cooling (with some kind of pumped fluid exchange, perhaps) crossed my mind, but that's a bit "out there", and I wouldn't even begin to know how to plumb something like that. I went back over your older posts to see if there were "in progress" pictures, but it looks like this is a recent change along with the rear-end reconfiguration.

Is this part of the secret sauce, or is it a detail you can share? (No worries about holding stuff back for competitive reasons; that's just racing. But, some of us are treating pictures of your car like Mulsanne's Corner treats pictures of race cars with "real money" pumped into them. How does the joke go, a few million here, a few million there, and eventually you start talking about real money? ;))

And damn, man, those are some red ears sticking out on both sides of the car. ;) I'm not sure how I missed this when I first looked at it, but are you lifting a back tire in that picture?

Your welcome guys, for sure! THanks for all the great feedback!

Its a fuel cooler, lift pumps dont need a huge capacity lines they flow at 0 pres and no worries about pulsation, etc. I believe that line is a -6 or -8 something like that. It needed a little attention but as you know things are being put off now. The 044 pumps dont have the same cavitation problems as the aeromotive.

You seem to have picked up on one of the key elements of my car. Ever notice how a lot of FWD cars go dog leg... and yet... mine doesnt even under huge G loads with lots of tire on it, that tire is still touching the ground... but the car is still going where you want it to... and the suspension isnt mega stiff springs resisting weight transfer either. My F:R tire temperatures as similar to that of a RWD R:F ratios which is critical to maintaining a handling balance across several laps

I'm telling you the ride comfort is something else too. It rides NICE. I'm totally going to get groceries in this car and pick up dates. The torque is everywhere, the motor isnt high strung, its running on gas you get from a pump, the interior is classy and comfortable. I'm really happy with it. Augh gonna miss the car while I'm gone.

Firstly let me say I love this build!

I have been following this thread for a little while now (just lurking) and decided to register today, just to say how cool this car is.

Keep up the great work!

Just spent the last 2 hours reading the whole thread.

Wanted to just share I love the work you put into your car, and inspires me to keep working twards my dream. I totally understand what it is like to want to race and not get paid for it, but the time and effort put into the car always seems to come back in its own time and way.

I am years behind you in time and work, but hope to perform as well as you in the future. I appreciate the time you put into the car, and keeping these forums full of information on your build; it has been a pleasure reading.
