Karlo, thats not true since the last time you worked on the car, we have spherical bearings on some.

I would assume you put some in the lower arms up font where the shock mounts and the imboard pickup on the same arm. Did you do any thing the the upper arms? Anywhere in the rear? I'm going to start on this soon and any help would/ insite would be greatly appericiated.

I'm using the 3g tubular upper arms on the rear of my car. I'm currently waiting on a set of 3g rear lower forward arms. As I said above I'm trying to figure out where metal bearing make since ect.

Thanks for your time,

Kevin

Very well built sir. One quick Q:
Will you be designing a rear diffuser this year?

Congrats!!! Awesome indeed! Good luck in Japan.....:thumb:

Yes, my advice on the clamps, we made them work, but you dont want to. They weld like poo, Nick was not happy trying to make nice welds. Impossible to get the welds to seal 100% and look nice had to pull some tricks to make it happen. Material is cheap and thin, the flanges warp, PITA to work with, we got them working but trust me, you dont want to. I'd consider some of the alternatives on the market. But they are holding the pressure. I'm going to be keeping spares around as well, just in case

Surge tank is plumbed very simple lift pump output to cooler to surge tank. Surge tank return to main tank when overflow. Dual -10 output to pressure pumps, pressure pumps to rail, rail to surge tank.

The spericals were part of designed replacement parts for factory parts. So there was no pressing of new bearings in. Sorry replies are brief and to the point... I'm getting ready to fly to Japan in a bit here

Would you divulge the name of the clamps you used? If not publicly, PM me? That does sound like a PITA though.

So the three lines I see in the surge tank picture is the overflow on top and the two -10 output to the Bosch pumps off the side? Where does the rail line go in to the tank, as well as the lift feed?

And I'm guessing by the suspension comment that you don't have stock parts anymore, hence the spherical bearings?

Have a safe flight!!!

The very top line should be the feed from the in pump tank. The two under that, one should be the return line to the tank and the other should be the return line from the FPR. Hidden underneath the plate should be his feed lines for his two pumps.

I had concerns from the start about those clamps. ;)
I do believe they were some knock-off clamps he picked up off eBay.

We looked at the concerns ahead of time, and we knew every issue we ran into and we addressed them just as we planned. They didnt turn out to be any different than we expected. They worked out great for me, actually. However I don't recommend it to anyone else. It required some level of effort which I believe made sense only in my context. I don't regret them one ounce, just wouldnt reccomend.

Its kind of like having a super model ex-girlfriend. She was a major pain, your glad its in the past, but you still close your eyes and remember how hot she was so you dont care.

It's good you tried them so you could say they don't work. Unfortunately for you that is money you won't get back, but you will be able to guide decisions of others in the future. :thumb:

I'm keeping them, in then end, they rock. You just dont wanna go through what I did to get them there.

I'm getting the feeling your just dying to be able to say "I told you so" because they are cheapy ebay parts. ;) You keep reading what I'm saying as a confirmation of your original thought of them, but that's just not true.

They worked out exactly as I expected, they work fine for me now. I like them, I wont be going back either. Just don't recommend them to the rest of you. Make sense? I get a lot of discounted labor and people do things for me as favors that aren't accessible to most people. Without that, they wouldn't have worked out. But I knew exactly what they were going to need from the very beginning. They tested through as expected. For MOST of you, they'll be more trouble than they are worth.

I would be lying if I denied having the thought go through my head. But at the same time I understood what you were saying. You could have easily said they worked and ended it there, but you went a step further. Thanks.

If issues can be avoided I almost always will try to avoid them.

Yes, but if I had just said "they worked". I'd be leaving out some really important information that cause people some heartache. You were implying that they had failed in a post above, and that was certainly not the case. I won a race on them.
