Considering a 2g Time Attack build

I am no good at wrenching--brakes, suspension and under-car grunt work are about all I can do-- so it will be something I can drive to the track with the a/c on, run all weekend, and drive home--all without spending the entire weekend fixing the car. Possibilities are an M3 or a Corvette, but i haven't bought anything yet. I thought about an Evo, but they are too butt ugly.

Evo's might be butt ugly but drive one before writing them off.:D

What a trader, I'll see you in my rear-view mirror!

Very likely. Just be sure to move over when you see me coming up in your mirrors.

All seriousness aside, with you being in Wisconsin, we should be going to the same events--such as Road America in April for the F Body event.

Because of the snow, I've only driven the BMW 10 miles since I bought it. It doesn't have the same kick in the ass as my old Eclipse, because it's down about 115 hp (355 for the Eclipse vs 240 for the 332ti), but it's no slouch, either. It's way too early to tell, but I suspect the superior handling of the BMW might result in lap times just a few seconds off the old Eclipse. That might mean a 2:42 lap at Road America.

I can only hope. If it turns a 2:42, I will be a very happy camper. But even if it doesn't get anywhere near that time, I still intend to just have fun with this car. That's what I bought it for.

So far, Road america looks like it should be a go for me that weekend in April. You should hit up the lapping day at BlackHawk Farms on the 24th of April. I along with a few other DSM's and other locals will be there.
