i was wondering if the throttlebody seals are same for 1g tb and 2nd gen tb. I did the seal replacement on the vfaq and i have a 1st gen throttlebody. The car on vfaq was 2nd gen. The throttlebody is returning slowly i think the seals are slowing it from returning. If they are different does anybody know what size they are??

thanks

JJ

I believe 91+ TB used the same seals. I used the them to do mine. The 89-90 TB's are reported to be different on at least one side of the shaft.

Did you fully rewind the return spring. Are you sure the seals aren't in crooked(did the shaft turn freely before you put the spring back?)

it did spring back correctly it was just a little tight, but i have driven the car around more know it just gets stuck at about 1800 rpm when you come to a stop.
