First off mods, 550cc injectors, wally 190, 14b, safc, open dump tube

Today for some reason this just started happening.. but when my cars at a stop the lights on my dash get real dim along with my headlights then when i accelerate and start to move my lights get bright again along with my headlights and my car starts to knock a little bit... any ideas on what could be going on? and along with all of this my cd player stopped working out of nowhere :hmm:

Check your altenator and battery. Those should be the first two places you check when something like that is going on. Take it to a Autozone and then can test it for you.

Yeah it sounds like a charging system issue. Check your grounds in the engine bay and get your battery/alternator checked out.

Ide check the alternator for sure, same thing happened to me except i broke down on a back road with a bunch of pissed off rednecks and mexicans staring at me from their trailers. No bueno.

definitely sounds like your alternator isnt putting out enough amperage. Get your charging system tested at a garage for $30 or advance auto parts for free. Advance has the capability of running a full system test in one shot instead of taking two different tests. and they can also give you a print out of the test to show you what the voltage and amperage is. (used to work there)

thanks for all the advice everyone, im going to go up to auto zone right now and get it checked out!

and no i don't have subs

So i went and got the altenator and battery tested, altenator tested out great!... and i have a bad battery!

Thanks to everyone that helped out! :thumb:
