This doesn't sound good

Alright guys, i just bought a 90' 1g tonight thats running a litle rough, i figured it would just be simple stuff like vaccum leaks and whatnot. Its got a twindisk in it and the throwout makes all kinds of noises. But what really got me is after i signed the title/bill of sale and began loading it on the trailer, i reved it over 2,500 and it sounded like it was knocking a little. Even with the cluch pedal untouched. Can anybody help me diagnose the noise? I'm praying its not a knock. It didn't sound TOO violent. I could probably get a video of it tomorrow, i'm just worried about running the car at all now.

List of known mods: Some precisoin turbo, buscher racing exhaust, Forced performance race manifold, precision 780 injectors, fic billit fuel rail, jmf intake manifold, quartermaster twin disk, full torque solotions driveline, manly springs with titanium locks and retainers, 2g maf, eprom ecu with dsmchips tune and other useless bolt-ons.

Any ideas on what the noise could be other than a knock would be awesome, or you could crush my hopes and dreams and tell me its toast.

Man is so hard to say without actually hearing it, does the sound comes from the engine? or the surroundings like transmission, belts etc. I know you don't want to run the car at all but try it and rev it does it gets louder as the rpm gets higher? if so then theres isn't much else that could cause a knock sound other than a rod knock.
Post a video!

My twin disk makes a hell of a noise when the clutch is depressed, and most people think its the release bearing, but in fact its normal. It also makes random knocking noises from the slack in my 24 year old gearset combined with my lumpy idle.

So I checked the oil today and sure enough theres a bit of gold flakes on the dipstick. Guy swears it didn't have a knock. Maybe he just over torqued them? It doesn't make any noise at idle Only when it's over 2 grand Rpm. I hope it's a rod and not the mains. I haven't gotten under the car yet. Is it easy enough to pull the pan and take a look? If it's a main bearing is the block considered totaled, or salvageable? I'm not much of a piston guy. Had rx7's my whole life.

Oh! and another question. How much does a quartermaster twin disk go for? I figured i could sell it to fund the rebuild and get a much less aggressive clutch.

Wait, you bought a car without driving/reving it beforehand? Never a smart move unless your already planning a full rebuild and just wanted the shell.

If it's just the bearing, buy new ones and install. If it fudged up the cap, will have to be line bored to remove the imperfections and new bearings bought to match.

I got the car for a steal for what it was. I knew it it was too good to be true, but i couldn't pass up such a beautiful car. And the shell is nearly perfect, just a tiny bit of bubbling on the wheel well. nothing a bit of sanding can't fix. :)
