Thinking about going to a 60 trim

Why would you want to run high 11's, low 12's before upgrading from a 16g to a 60 trim? Personally, I would never run a turbonetics on my car. But what are your goals for your car? If your goal is to run high 11's or low 12's, then doing it with a 60 trim, or even a 50 trim will be much much easier than doing it with a 16g. You will be overworking that 16g, especially if you dont know EXACTLY what you are doing.
 
You will need to go with bigger injectors and reroute some piping but other than that I see no problem switching turbos. If it was me I would go for the 60 trim and run with that. Turbonetics are very prone to failure though.
 
Someone wouldn't offer a turbo like that at a good price unless they hated it (too laggy, not enough airflow for the amount of lag), it was on an engine that blew (meaning the turbo will be ready to blow in 100 miles), or they are hard-up for money.

Personally, I've had a bad experience with a brand new Turbonetics 60-1 on TalonDave's car....the piece of shit didn't last 200 miles. They do look to be built a little better than Precision (Turbonetics will use a big-shaft turbine on turbos they feel will see high boost), so I'd take a Turbonetics turbo over a Precision any day of the week....but honestly there are far better brands available that will give you both the airflow and durability you're looking for.
