OK, quick update. I got the intake manifold yesterday. All I can say is holy crap this thing is big!!!!! It makes the magnus look tiny. Now for the shitty news. The accufab t-body I have is an older style I think and dosnt fit up, so I have to order a new one on monday and overnight it, but oh well. There is still plenty of things to do on the car that dont involve the I/M.

Most of the time the diff. is in older vs newer mustang flange style. You could make a quick adapter plate and save yourself some money. I think I might have an extra one I made for a customer and he never used the t-body. Hit me up if you want to try it out and I'll see if I can find it.

Thanks for the offer buddy, but Reid is going to buy my older style one. Plus it would look kinda silly with an adapter, in my opinion.

I got the IM and its HUGE, I ordered my new t-body and that will be here tomorrow, I got a new turbine housing, 1.28a/r from the 1.01a/r I had. So hopefully tomorrow will be an eventful day of installing and modding the parts to make them fit. And I ordered parts for my "super" motor that were going to build this winter.

Why didnt you go with a super duper motor instead so you could spool faster. :tease:

Yo how's the a1000 pump holding up for you I hear people saying they don't think it's enough for a turbo this size because when you run a base pressure of 43.5psi like stock then boost the flow goes to crap and it won't support a turbo this size with good boost. You have any lean problems or such with this setup?

We never noticed any loss of fuel pressure or any lean conditions under boost. But remember we never pushed it befor. Ill keep you posted on that as soon as we get it back on the Dyno.

I did stay late this evening to get the manifold, t-body, all the fuel lines and charge piping back on. Everything fit up great. We still need to fab a throttle cable bracket, but that wont take very long. As soon as thats on the car Ill snap some pics and get them up for everyone.

Everything fit up very well, still need to swap turbine housings (from 1.01 to 1.28) but once thats done she'll be ready for a retune and hopefully it can finally make some power.

Maybe you should dyno it like this first before swapping to a different exhaust housing.

That would make sense since you would be able to compare numbers as well as top end flow/power curve. Also get to the point where you can see at what boost level and rpm your smaller housing might start building backpressure and plateau hp then move up to larger housing and compare info. I know I or the majority of people on here dont have 42R cars but the more parts/changes you do at once gives you way more variables on wondering what worked and what didnt and that goes for any type of build cause I have ran into it personally on customer cars as well as my own. Either way keep us posted on the numbers. Let that bitc* rip.:thumb:

We are going to make some pulls with just the new IM, hopefully today. Then swap out the turbine housings and cams after that. Hopefully there will be a difference.

Ill try and find a vac. gauge today but if I remember correctly it was about -20 @ 1000 rpm idle. But I could be way off.

My bc272s average about -15 vacuum at 950rpm . Stock cams were in the low -20s and my friends 1g Talon with bc280s vacuums at about -10 or -11ish at 900 rpm idle if that helps.
