i know, thats why im interested and also why im trying to get as much information as i can,it would be an awesome deal if it is in good working condition and this person is just in a financial rut..........atleast thats what im hoping it is

if he took it to a local tuner could of easily had a wideband sniffer up the exhaust.......o2 bungs arent too hard either

Well it seems as though I came to this site three years ago when I was interested in a 1G Talon FWD. You welcomed me and helped answer what I asked. Since then some things have changed. I now own a tacoma and a MK1 MR2 that I've been working on.

Anyways to make a long story short, yesterday I came across a 1G Talon again, in a "salvage yard" while picking out parts for my MR2. Only this time it's a AWD 5spd. I'm really thinking about buying this car as it has not been molested at all. Stock everything. The guy is only asking $600 for the car but claims it was smoking when it was parked.

So I ask, do you think I should do it? If anything just to hold onto it for now?

For the time being I say hello to all of you DSM owners on here and hope that I can be accepted as I once was before from this website.

If you bought it for $600 I'd give you $700. I'm making a trip down to my old fav state next summer anyway. I could pick it up then :p

Well another good perk for me is that I work at a bodyshop so I could clean it up really nice as well. I wouldn't want to get rid of it though if I do end up getting it.

ok here it goes this will probably get deleted by the mods, but if they would let the inferior newbie post everywhere we wouldn't have this problem! i have a a turbo fwd tranny off of a talon( six bolt) i parted out. It only has less then 20,000 miles on it and is in great shape there were no grinds when i took it out and it shifted great. I am wondering what it is worth cause i am going to put it on ebay. If i was allowed to post in the classifieds i would of already done so!

that is so pointless....i have been a member of so many forums and this one by far has the craziest rules....if they letted the newbie posted in all the forums they wouldnt have bs threads like that one! I would really like to just post in the classifieds but i got to make a bunch of unnessecary post so i get 50 which will allow me to post there and no longer be a newbie

150 maybe 200

Thats becuase they can turn around sell it 3 to 5 times as much

I am looking at a 95 Eagle Talon Tsi 6 bolt swap.

Does anyone have any opinions about the car or price? It's a 3 hour drive one way and I'm not sure I can get a ride there twice. Thanks in advance.

That cars been talked about on here already.....who ever it was i told then to get it

How much would an AWD shell go for......I'm thinking of selling mine and just buying a running car

whats the point of have this if no ones goning to answer

The point is, we cannot evaluate cars we can't touch. It's a garbage file, a place to put garbage posts. However, just like on the rest of the site, you can get in trouble for bumping.

Im thinking about buying a gsx i already have a gs... want to go turbo real bad..someone is selling one for 3500 and i really wanna get it..

What are common problems to look for with the gsx?
What the hell does crankwalk mean?
How much does crankwalk cost to fix?
How often does crankwalk occur?
What type of check should i do on it?
not sure of the mileage just yet will go look at it 2morra.

Thanks

Crankwalk is a tough thing. When driving the car, you can generally tell because it feels like the clutch isn't fully disengaging, especially in left hand turns. The only real way to check is have a knowledgeable mechanic pull the oil pan and check the crank play. The only fix is a six bolt swap. The only good news if you have crankwalk is that it gives you an excuse to build a new motor. Good luck with the buy, the GSX is an awesome car.

if you got the $... pick it up and save more $ for a 6bolt swap. then your golden. make sure its not all f*ck'd up tho.

but if its just boost you want... ever think about boosting your 420A? im sure you can piece together a kit for less than $3500. EASY! just ask some of the members who T'd thier GS's...
