thats 4 of us. Doug and adam said that they would be down at the meeting. Maybe next week we can try something. I am gonna wait for Doug and Adam to chime in on this one.:thumb:

If my oil line comes in time I'm down too. This perhaps will be my last meeting before I go to Brazil for summer... When I come back I'll sell the car and get myself a 1g and a civic. Agim, did you buy that 500 bucks 1st gen ? I found another one but it needs a cylinder head, still good deal though. I think I might get it :)
 
well i am off thursday and friday nights. i don't think i will be able to get out early as i did last meeting which was still pretty late i think. i don't know though . what days are good for everyone so we can see whats up. BTW is anyone going to towers this friday. I am down. Hopefully my coilovers should bein the mail tomorrow, Do you think its a job that can be tackled on our own or should i pay to get them installed?

ricardo, you're missing out man. the F&F rice boy has now decided to remove his interior, build an oil cooling system in place of the passenger seat, and run his exhaust behind the console, INTO the car, and have the piping run out of the center tail lights... :|

as for the meeting, let me know and i will do my best to show up
 
oh, i'm still looking at that 1G,I had other stuff to take care of.

anyone plan on going to towers on friday night? Ricardo why don't you put Redline tranny fluid in your car. I heard that it works miracles.

Unfortunately, I don't think it's the tranny fluid-- he's using synthetic B&M TrickShift, which is supposed to be really good also. I just switched to it myself and it's doing great.
 
hahahahaha Adam!! Damn, I cannot believe I missed that! That rice kid is so fun, I wonder if that setup will push him to the 10s :rolleyes:. I bet I can run him with my slipping tranny and still woop his ass! :laugh:

Brendon, I never heard of this Redline fluid, but maybe if Doug decides to someday to try his valvebody :rolleyes: on my car, I'll try it! I'm using regular B&M TrickShift by the way and it's the only fluid besides mitsubishi the guy who put my shift kit on says he recommends...

Agim, I might buy that car as soon as I get some money, right now I'm broke. If I buy that car and it actually runs, it will be great. But I think I'm going to use the money for tranny hunting sometime, if anyone wants to hit a junkyard with me just lemme know. My oil line SHOULD be in tomorrow so I might be able to get out of the house this week. Horray!
 
well lady and gents:) my coilovers are now in the mail. i was if anyone thinks this can be a self job or if i should just pay the $75 to get them installed. I also have to do a Home Depot rear camber kit on it. Anyone open to try and get together and make a DSM fix install day. Anyone else have anything that they need installed in there car:confused:

Ricardo needs a valve body....or so I've heard. Anybody got one? :|

But seriously, Ricardo, I'll help you out if I can. That's not a trivial job, though. And I'd bet the valve body is not the problem. But I know we're more experienced how about where all the solenoids and stuff goes.....

Yeah, a fix/install get-together sounds like a good plan. I've got a fuel pump rewire I need to do. Anybody else?

I also want to again remind everybody that they should join the SoFla DSM list-- we could use that for many of these kinds of discussions without cluttering up the board here.
 
i think we got something started then. we just have to figure a date and a location and we are pretty much set on this:D

I was going to try that club tonight. It's up in Pompano. Anyone heard about it? It's $5 to park, 200 spaces, BYOB and there is a club thats $5 too. I'm going to check it out with my girl......Hopefully it's tight. Last week the cops at Towers were horrible. I don't want to get hurrased by the cops just because the old people are taking Towers over......anyways, If someone else has more info on this club thing, please post it....maybe I'll see someone?
 
Last week after I left Towers on Friday night, the cops were pulling people over left and right. I had some friends call later and said that the cops were asking to check under peoples hood's and stuff. Rediculous....
 
they were probably checking vin numbers to see if they matched. when i was living in NY they use to do that every thursday at the hangout. they would have 5 0r 5 tow trucks in the parking lot on stand by. If you had a different motor in your car you better have the papers with you to back it up. What time is everyone gonna go. I am down.
