Hey doug, sorry to hijack your thread again, but do you think we could get together sometime and try to put your valve body in my transmission ? I'm curious so see if it would work. That way I can get your transmission fluid back...

My car is leaking oil again by the way, I was driving it yestarday and this huge white smoke cloud came out of it, then when i parked I saw this pile of oil, I think its probably that stupid return line again..... ://

Hey, it's not my thread-- it's everybody's.

About the valve body, I don't know when we would have that kind of time-- taking mine out, putting it in your car, taking it back out, putting it back in my car, etc. That would be like a whole day's work, especially as disorganized as we are. :D

On a related note, I did just change my fluid-- it was long overdue. Sorry to hear about your car, though. If it looks like I can take enough time to do the whole valve body swap thing, I'll let you know.
 
WOOT!!! i finally got my rims. HP Hurricanes. 18" i am just waiting on the suspension now and i will be good to go in the looks department.:thumb:

Just kidding-- those look good. I like that they have a big lip on them. The model I want (Tenzo R Passion 5) has a big lip too-- I think it makes the wheel look wider or something.

Sorry, I'm heading out of town for the weekend. Not that anyone really wanted to see me :cry:

Next Friday I was planing on heading out there, but I heard about a new hangout for Friday nights. I don't have the flyer with the info on me, but I'm going to check it out. I guess it's $3 for parking but the cops won't be able to kick anyone out. I donno, I'll let you know. Maybe if it's worth the $3 bucks, I can give someone a call......

it's alright, it's figured out now. we disassemble the plug and the TRE probe end and found the plugs had continuity, meaning it's sending the same signal through both plugs. don't know how it got like that, but it's functioning properly now. i read 900 at idle, sometimes a little lower, around 825-850 (ported head/mani/turbo & O2 housing). i peaked at 1425 under full boost in 4th gear, so it's all good. thanks for offering to help though, Doug :thumb:
 
It could be worse... your car could have the tranny f*cked and a huge oil leak from the return line... like me. :cry:

I might try to make it, I'm heading down to rob's storage we gonna work on the car tonight... but if I do go to the towers I will be there only by like midnight...

towers was pretty packed. i had no idea that it gets so crowded around 6:00. i was handed a flyer about a new hangout in pompano beach. you pay $5 to get in and there is music and DJ's and the cops don't kick anyone out. They sell parts there and have food and everything. It starts on May 3. I wonder what it is gonna be like. I know they tried something similiar like that at Hialeah Speedway. It only worked for about 2 weeks. But then again it was Hialeah. Just wanted to know if anyone was ineterested in going to this hangout.

Hey Florida guys, I don't know if this has been posted here yet. But I will anyway. I have started a Message board for Sports car owners in Florida. Its mostly going to be Imports, and I would like a strong DSM presence. Its a place to meet owners of other cars in your area and state, and a good place to get help from a diffrent place. Not DSM tuners replacement. I have it under my State 3si page for now, as we are still trying to find a good name. I would appreciate it if anyone of you guys would please check it out as we are growing and would like to get some conversation over there.

Well its was starting to slip because it engaging to high up(like .5"-1")
so I bleed it so it engages closer to the floor. but like the more I drive it, it starts engaging higher and higher, till to it starts engaging at an 1" again. so If its engaging at an 1" it wont travel back far enough causing the clutch to slip. after the car is cool, it engages closer to the floor again.

Darren told me its wrong throw-out bearing that came with the clutch, or flywheel wasn't cut right
my mechanic says its the clutch master and slave cylinder is bad. I hoping its the master and slave cuz i'm really trying to avoid dropping my tranny again
 
good luck, i am gonna go check out darrens shop one day that i am off.

i am trying to get my stock clutch to last as long as it can. i just baby my car now.
