Ok so ive seen some pictures of 1Gs with the rear hump cut out, and also now ive seen the rear seat area cut out. What other Extreme weight reductions are possable without loosing the cars rigidity. Can you cut out some sheet metal from behind the doors, I know there is a front crash bar you may be able to take out but maybe thats not a good idea. Ive also seen holes cut into the rear hatch were the the weather striping goes and cut out holes all the way around to take out weight. Front and rear bumpers and good weight savings.

Ive seen on a other forum there was a large list of things also people posted the weight of items they have taken out. Theres some breif tech threads in here but lets getting a little bit more into it.

Whos gotten there street 1G really light were its making a difference in there times, and people whos race cars have been lightend.

Every little bit counts, this could end up being a good sticky for people to come in and check.

do a search for project goodwill. they ran 10's on a 1g turbo FWD on stock turbo. needless to say they did some major weight reduction

Yeah im on dsmtalk and seen that thread also, it would be nice if we could make a sticky.

Thats kinda why I made this thread so everyone can put up info and mayve it can be stickyed on here?
