I search on this site and other places online and have yet to find really what I was looking for. There doesn't seem to be much discussion on the proper way to tune a car on the dyno. I'm really more concerned with tuning the spark map at part throttle and WOT. Running a stand alone ECU I had to build the entire spark map, the car runs great but I feel like there is more power to be found on and off boost. The car has always been street tuned and only been put on the dyno for power pulls, however we have a mustang dyno at school that I have unlimited access to and would really like to spend some time and dial the car in right. I have used the dyno before for power pulls so I know how to operate it. I'm hoping there are some tuners out there that can shed some light on this thread. It would be nice to have all of this information in one thread, the technique for tuning AFR, timing advance, optimal boost pressure, etc. All the things that the tuner would do if you took your car to a shop. If there already is a thread like this out there I must have missed it. Looking forward to hearing some good responses. Please keep this thread only about tuning on a dyno, not street tuning.
