Hey everyone, I just figured I'd start a thread with pictures of the best show cars. Please refrain from flaming, I like the OEM look as much as the next guy (i have the 2gb conversion myself), but it'd be interesting to see what the other side of the road carries. So go, please make room for show.

This is my personal favorate.

To me, it's one of the few examples of "show" done right. :p :thumb:

[Damn. The best ones always have to go first.]

Not saying these are the best but these are from some local guys I know:

i know its custom but where would you go to get such a thing??????? what is it made of????

link doesn't work

Well, since the link dont work, I dont think she'd mind, it's CrazyEclipse's car(I think she's on this board under that name anyway)

as for the hood, there is/was a company that made them, I'll look and get back to ya in another reply to this thread :thumb:

EDIT: found 'em!! http://www.sho-um.com although I dont think they're cheap, and probably not practical for everyday use.. another edit, you can get them tinted in colors as well, not just 100% clear.

Those hoods aren't cheap, and usually don't fit very well. They also do not have latches. Seen a few of them at shows. My car is far from being the best, but it does pretty well in NC.

There are tons of eclipses out there with a lot of show mods. I like the 1 at www.blur2ed.com personally. Very nicely done and clean. Not sure I like the tails, but it looks like good work.

I would love to see your 420A friends show up to a car show in Laughlin the last weekend of February. Local 3G board is planning a poker run/car show to benefit charity and az2gnt is in on it. Those are some pretty damn nice 420As imo. I'm not big on the show scene (especially airbags or hydros on a "performance" platform like an Eclipse or Talon), but wow.

Engine bay is pretty dirty in this pic, compared to show time:

I just realized, me an Thomas are the only turbo'd guys in this thread! Let's see some widebodies guys! Show off those show cars!

Yea i checked out those clear hoods the other day, the sales man said you cant really drive much with em on, the heat and gasses will F it up baddly.

Thats strange I guess they aren't the same quality as the ones for Jeep Wranglers. Back when i had mine there was a company that made those, used to drive over them, bash em' with hammers, some strong sh*t

Now I like cars, and I like some rice, but can someone explain to me why you would ever want a TV set in your wheel well?

Have people really run out of ideas and need so many LCD's to impress judges that you have to put them in that kind of location?

I saw one that had a monitor in the gas cap door, when you opened it up, there it was! haha, bad idea, you're gonna get gasoline on it eventually anyways. Also, I know a guy here with a Vette, actually was in Mobile Entertainment magazine last year, that has a monitor underneath his hood on the inside. I don't get it either, but whatever.
