Nothing I've said is misinformation. In fact, I'd like to know why you think supplying oil from the filter housing is a good idea.Well obviously. But the point of threads like these and this website is to point out misinformation and give people good info on these cars. If you think that tapping from the OFH is a bad idea then I would love to hear more info about it from you, because you seem to know what you're talking about.
Again, I urge you to read the entire first page of this thread. I explain, in detail what makes them tick and why they fail. I'm far from an expert, but I believe I have figured out what the big problems with these turbos may be.I personally wouldn't buy one of the ebay turbos. I, like you, don't really trust them. But I feel like I need to know more information about them before I go on bashing them.
