The guy i bought my car from has a 16g turbo. He says its a big 16g but
im not sure it is, he gave me #s off of the turbo and they are TD05H AND ALSO 49178-05200 so is this the turbo he says it is or not. he is also selling me a fmic and bov and turbo timer for 700 is it worth it or rip off for these items. one more question i have to ask is what does cliped mean when refrencing a turbo

Quite literally if you just put those numbers in to Google you get your answer in the second result. Stop being so lazy. It's a small 16G off a Galant, and it's a better turbo than a Big 16G in my opinion. The turbo's worth about $100, the turbo timer is worthless and you should slap him with it, and the FMIC is probably not worth $600.

Thats a small 16G. 05200 labels it as a small 16g. I think...

Clipped means that the turbine wheel is clipped to flow better up top. But, sacrifices spool a little. The small 16g flows more than a big 16g at lower boost. UNLESS you have the big 16g completely maxed out, the big 16g will not flow more.

IMHO its worth 450 for the turbo and FMIC. Thats if the turbo has little to no shaft play and no stripped holes.

Mits serial numbers..14B

Yes, it is a small 16g. But no small 16g turbos were used for production gasoline turbo charged vehicles. So what year Galant, smart ass?

Fair enough, I guess I assumed because it's so commonly listed with (Galant) following the serial number.

I heart Supenchargers :)

The small 16g was never used with anything but as an upgrade to the stock 1g turbo actually. . . Yep, it should have been what was on there in the first place because it is really just better than a big 16g (evo1 and evo2). But it's tech came out more recent than the old 14b and about the same time the evo3 16g came out. . . It flows 38lb/min, just 2lb/min shy of the regular big 16g (evo1-2) and is more efficient up to near choke versus that turbo; as proven with the lower heat it outputs on mine and many other setups. The evo 3 16g/18g/20g only is more efficient after that number. So there's no real place for the old big 16g (evo1-2) since the evo3 and small 16g has replaced it.

. . .I apologize that I may be cranky . . .

Did we NOT resolve this just yesterday?

Pretty bad when you won't even search your own threads for information.

Which one do you think would flow more?
