Temporary fix for a missing Biss Screw

My car blew my Biss Screw this morning, and I just ordered a new screw,cap and o-ring, but I need to know what I can use in the mean time till it gets here next week. I taped a screw with a rubber washer on it right now so that my car runs ( Its my only vehicle right now cause my other one got totaled), but was wondering if there was a better alternative than what I have right now. Thanks

You could just use your BISS screw and just go to a parts store and get a #5 o ring as that's what's going to come in the kit your bought. The screw itself doesn't go bad unless it gets mangled up on the back end using the wrong size screw driver.

Make sure you set your BISS properly by grounding out the diagnostic pin otherwise your IAC will be out of adjustment and you may be battling idle sure afterwards.

Sorry to open an old post. But I just purchased a 91 tsi fwd. And the biss screw is missing. What can I use until I get another one? And my idle jumps up real high and doesn't want to come down. Is that because of the screw or is that tps issue?

Could go out to a yard and find a BISS screw on some busted up 4G63 DSMs..

Only real option is to put a new one in it.
