One of my hoses blew up today while driving and while i was repairing it i broke one of the sensors thats under the radiator cap.I tried to start the car but it didnt want to idle and it just died.Try to keep my foot on the gas and the engine check light came on.Could this all happen cause of that sensor?all the help will be apreciated thanks

Yes, go ahead & replace the sensor & see what happens. There are multiple sensors on the thermostat housing & at least some of them go to the ECU, which is the source of your CEL.
