Hello, I'm currently working on fixing my Eclipse and I hope I'm on the last bit.
I just need quick help, because I'm a bit unsure and don't want to break things.
So I've got engine code 21
Coolant temperature sensor fault.
And I was wondering which is the coolant temperature sensor?

I'm assuming the one down with the big plug is it.
Do I just pull the plug off and then unscrew the sensor?

Also what OEM number has this part?
Or/And what should I get as replacement part?

Yes, that sensor but usually it's the wiring that's failed.

How could check that?
And if they are the problem how can I repair them? Or should I replace them somehow?

Typically with a multimeter and measure the resistance of the sensor at various temps according to the Service Manuals (posted on the site).

You check the wires the same way, measure the resistance from one end (sensor) to the other (ECU) and make sure you have close to 0 ohms between the two points.
