Today I started my car up after jumping it (the battery went dead), and it idled like crap. I eventually got a CEL for the coolant temperature sensor. I went and replaced the sensor with a new one and I still got the CEL. Pocketlogger says my temps are at 312 which I KNOW are wrong (car isn't even warmed up yet). Where should I go from here to try to fix this?

this also happened to me last week. I got a CEL of the coolant temp but also two other sensers at the same time. I replaced the coolant temp sensor and still had the CEL. So I decided to check the ECU. As soon as i opened it up saw where a capacitor had been leaking all over the circuit board. It also smelt burnt in the same area. This is the worst case this is what was wrong with my car.
It only took me ten minutes to pull my ECU and open it up. It wouldn't hurt just to take a look at it. I bought a rebuilt ECU for $250. tell me what you see.
