So I went ahead and purchased a new battery, tried to start it..no firing at all just gas on the plugs..so I went and got new spark plugs...the baby started right up....with some problems...

Blue Smoke, White Smoke and Oil all came out of the exhaust..the white dissappeared..the oil stopped coming out in a couple of days of starting it and running it for5 minutes, but the blue smoke remains.

The "lifter" tick I was experiencing wasn't actually lifters at all, it was the waterpump.

My question is, I know blue smoke is probably the head gasket, but what the hell causes oil to come out of the exhaust?

While I'm at it, what is the size of the nut that fits on the windshield wiper assembly? I have been unable to find the correct size.

if your headgasket was blown, you wouldn't be getting blue smoke, you would be getting white smoke. Ill bet that your valve seals are worn down and are leaking oil. I think the nuts are 8mm x 1.25 but don't quote me.

So does this explain why my car never overheats? I thought it was weird that my temp. gauge never went above normal, always thought the car overheats with a blown head gasket.

So how much work is involved to replace valve seals as opposed to a head gasket?

turbo has shaft play, in fact I was able to wiggle it enough to have the blades hit the housing. Though looking at it it didn't look damaged.

I hope its going out, gives me a great reason to upgrade.

I've noticed around the time the turbo spools there is bigger puffs of smoke coming out, but then I also think it could just be because of the higher RPMs.

So your car does not blow any blue smoke during idle or cruising?

A symptom of a weary HG is a rise in coolant temperature under boost. You should definitely do a leakdown test to verify that it may or may not be your HG that is causing the problem.
