Just looking for a little advice. I did half of a third gear pull and I noticed that the AFR was dropping off but the VE looked ok. Wasn't quite sure if I took a little timing around 5,500rpm, if it would help? Or should I adjust the VE table to try to flatten the wideband reading?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Here is a log...

I wonder if your global is way off because your wideband factor isn't close. Also, I don't think you match your afrs by adjusting your timing. You adjust afrs by ve table and global fuel changes.

Thanks for the reply! Let me get some confusion out of the way. I didn't mean take timing out to correct AFR, I was curious if someone could look at the log to see if I should pull some timing where the knock was, or if I should Use the VE table to correct AFR to maybe see if it was rich knock. As far as the WB factor goes... I set it to what FIC 750's global should be and did some runs (this being one of them) When I raise the global, my car seems to idle much smoother, but the WBfactor gets off even worse. Probably because its an AEM UEGO. I think I'm gonna switch it to something else. I just started looking at prices and what everyone recommends.

Most people tune the WOT with global then once that is set, you move onto idle where deadtime comes into play. Global for WOT, deadtime for idle. Take my next advice with a grain of salt as I'm new to tuning as well, but you most likely need to make some ve changes in the higher rpms as you go rich. Play with the injcoolantoffset and see if it likes it. Take a picture of your settings first so you can put them back if things get all goofy.
 
Timing table needs some help but isnt too terrible. AEM widebands do not work well with link unless setup Linear which yours is not so not sure I trust this AFR you have. Open loop is setup way to lean for pump gas. Your notes have a very huge gap. Surprised its not breaking up. Install 5122 NGK plugs .024" gap to start. If you have any questions, shoot me a message

Why BPR7ES? I was under the impression that colder plugs are only necessary when you get north of 30psi. Given he's on a 16g with 750cc injectors, he's probably boosting somewhere in the 20s. Am I remembering incorrectly?

5122 aren’t bpr7es

Who told you stock heat range plugs are good until 30psi? Never talk to them again
 
Kenny, when do you recommend going to iridium plugs?
Honestly I e never had a reason to on a DSM but I will admit I used iridiums on my talon when on e85 and I did notice better idle. But I change plugs way too much to be spending money on iridiums every time haha.
 
I don't have much experience tuning with ecmlink, but in general; you would want to get your ve table dialed in by using the the target afr in the ve table and the actual afr read by a reliable wideband and apply that correction to the table cell that is incorrect. keep working through the table like that at different load and rpm. the interpolate in between the known measured points to smooth out the table. you really should be saving things like dialing in best power afr's, coolant temp compensation and dashpot for last. if the pcm doesn't know mass flow through the engine you are always going to be trying to hit a moving target. adjusting timing will have no effect on afr's. it will however effect the threshold of knock, touque output and stress levels on the internal parts of your engine.
set your afr to safe levels for non-boosted and boosted regions of the map and push farther and farther over dialing in ve first. Then come back and clean up afr's tuning for Mean best torque.
I run 23 psi on e85 (436whp on mustang dyno) , no ignition amp, and have no issues running the bpr7es plugs

I run 8's and non extended tip, but I am over 40 lbs.
