my gauges and tail lights went out and i read that it is the dimmer switch. but must u replace it b4 they start working again. bc there is no fuse blown

Your tail lamp fuse is blown or one of the lights on the circuit is shorted out then. Pull all your tail light bulbs & the sidemarker light bulbs too. Replace the tail lamp fuse with a KNOWN good and then try to turn on your lights (of course while they're all pulled out) and see if the dash lights kick on. If they do replace ONE bulb at a time until you find the one thats shorting the circuit.

i had the exact same problem with mine and it ended up being a little 10 amp fuse under the hood, the taillight one i believe, obviously, but check if your parking lights are out too, if so then thats what it is because your parking lights, tail lights and gauges are all on that fuse, hope that helped

Same thing happened to me but in my case my cousin installing the new head unit crossed a wire he wasn't supposed to be crossing :ohdamn:
