I managed to pick up a T28 this week from my friend and was wondering what I should do before I install it. I obviously dont need an install kit, and was thinking that I the only thing I should really get is the SBR gasket kit.

Anything else I should look into doing/getting before the install? I dont need to know anything about fuel mods or anything like that...just the install itself.

Here are some pics of the turbo...used, but ABSOLUTELY NO in and out play, and literally almost no side to side play, and spins free as ever.

i found a used fpt28, im looking to buy it but how much do you think all the gaskets and bolts would cost? and how many 14,6mm washers would i be needing? how long it would take to install it, am i going to feel a big differnce in power or am i not going to notice any thing? when i say differnce in power i mean getting in to a stock evo and a stock dsm. thanks

Hello fellow Dsmers, im also replacing my brother's t25 with a t28 turbo, but it is impossible to remove one of the bolts from my stock 02 housing to my t25, it's the bottom right, it looks like its covered by a line, this is on a 96 gsx, any help appreciated. thank you in advanced.

550's would be more than enough, I had 660's and was in the 85% duty cycle range. Airflow should be in the 35-36 lb/min range, though I hit 40 lb/min on a cold winter day a few years back. I'd run the FP 17 psi wastegate actuator otherwise your gonna chase your tail trying to figure out why your boost is dropping off.

I had a new FP BT-28 ported by SBR with a Tubular S.S. O2 housing installed on my car last month with the support mod's & I'm loving it but I need to wait for Winter break-up to tune my GS-T more so i can turn up the boost right now I'm set at a conservative 15psi & I'm running RC 550cc injectors.
