2G T25 Turbo Ring

Need some advice. When I installed my fp manifold to my t25 turbo I forgot to put this ring back in on the turbine housing I’ve been driving the car for days with no issues. Is this ring a necessity?

Not at all necessary, many remove it as it can’t be there once the manifold and turbine housing are ported anyway.

It also could not have been used with an FP manifold as the outlet of the manifold isn't designed for that.

I don't remember there being a step in the FP manifold that is required to use that ring gasket.

Most people when porting either the turbo or the factory exhaust manifold grind the step out of both.

I wish I could find a non ported housing for a 14b to run the ring, but im wierd like that
